Retail Catering Manager

James Cook Univeristy Hospital, Marlborough Road, Middlesborough

£30k pa+ Excellent Benefits

The Opportunity

Reporting into the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high quality retail catering service, managing the service, budget and the staff. As Retail Catering Manager you will lead the procurement, production, presentation and delivery of operations within the scope of retail catering outlets throughout the hospital as well as maintaining the relationship and monitoring of a number of third outlets within the hospital.

We are looking for the candidate to lead the growth of the local services as part of the Serco retail brand. As a key part of this strategy you will be involved in concept development as well as maintaining responsibility for delivering against the relevant KPIs. You will hold responsibility for developing the service business plan; ensuring that it includes incentives such as health and well-being activities and promotional activities and ensure staff are appropriately trained at all times.

We work closely with our NHS JCUH customer and you will be key to that relationship, offering excellent customer service and value for money to the all customers of our retail units.

About You

You will hold an Advanced Food Hygiene Certificate with a HND or City & Guilds (or equivalent). You will have experience of managing a retail catering operation.
